My Qualifications
I have qualified as a Humanistic Counsellor & Psychosexual and Relationship Counselling interested in Personal Centred/Existential ideas.
Over my 20 years of practiced I have been interested in sex, sexuality, identity, addiction and the expression of one's humanity when challenged by life.
Personal Approach
My qualifications and experience in counselling are in working under different roles providing counselling support for over 20 years.
My graduate training in professional counselling was undertaken at the CSCT Central School of Counselling and Therapy in London where I gained my Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Humanistic).
This was followed by my Postgraduate Certificate in Cultural Diversity in Therapy and Counselling at Goldsmiths University of London and a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy with Middlesex University.
Following accreditation (a process that validates & confirms my substantial counselling experience) with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I attend regular self-development courses and additional training in line with BACP standards and requirements for Continued Professional Development.
Professional Counselling Registration.
My professional counselling registration is with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am a registered member of the BACP, IAC( International Association for Counselling), AssoCounseling, and the Collage of Sexual & Relationship Therapist( COSRT) meaning that if you are unhappy with my service there is a complaints procedure available to you.
My accreditation with the BACP, and registration with IAC, AssoCounseling and COSRT demonstrates my considerable experience and commitment to high quality counselling practice. I uphold and work in accordance to the code of ethics and practice of the BACP, IAC, AssoCounseling and COSRT. I am also regularly supervised by a BACP/ COSRT -accredited counselling supervisor (a process that helps me work at my best with clients).
